Product History

Patchouli essential oil, derived from the Pogostemon cablin herb native to Southeast Asia, has a rich history spanning centuries of traditional medicinal use in Asia to its iconic status in 1960s Western counterculture. Originally used to scent fabrics and repel insects, it gained fame in 19th-century Europe as a marker of authentic, high-quality Indian shawls.

Distillation Process

Preparation: High-quality carrot seeds are cleaned and dried to a moisture content below 10%, then lightly crushed to improve oil yield.
Loading: The prepared seeds are placed into a stainless-steel distillation chamber.
Steam Distillation: Steam, typically heated between 100–120°C, is passed through the seeds to vaporize volatile components such as carotol.
Condensation: The vapor mixture of steam and essential oil is cooled in a condenser, converting it back into liquid form.
Oil Separation & Storage: The oil is separated from water using a separator, then filtered and stored in airtight, dark containers to preserve its quality and stability.
